This rich Barossa Cabernet Merlot has been lovingly crafted by the winemakers at Barossa Valley Estate's new winery at Marananga in the heart of the Barossa. The 2002 Epiphany Cabernet Merlot exhibits blackberry and ripe red fruit aromas with subtle oak nuances. The medium bodied palate is highlighted by rich red fruit character and is complemented by a fine tannin structure, giving the wine a great balance and persistence of flavour.

The 2000 Knappstein Cabernet Merlot is a big, rich, fully flavoured dry red, made from Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (27%), with smaller portions of Cabernet Franc and Malbec. In 2000 we added 10% Adelaide Hills fruit, adding a spicy complex character. Ripe mulberry and blackberry aromas and flavours complement fine drying tannins which combine to produce a traditional, soft, velvety texture. A wine that will reward careful cellaring.

Matured in French and American oak for 15 months, the 2001 Metala is a balanced, full flavour wine.
