A bright, dense cherry red wine with darker tints. Perfumed cherry and plum fruit aromas dominate the nose but with some spicy, savoury complexity.

Devil's Corner Pinot Noir 2008
|
|
Bright cherry red with purple tinges, this wine has rich, spicy plum fruit aromas with hints of black cherry and strawberry and an underlying touch of savoury.
Mouthfilling fruit with ripe plum and cherry
flavours also hints at a spicy and savoury complexity. This wine is made as a lighter bodied style but there is no shortage of flavour backed up with fine, silky
tannins and a long supple finish.
A versatile food wine, enjoy it with a creamy
risotto, pasta with duck ragu or serve it lightly
chilled with a char-grilled cutlet of Tasmanian

Kayena Vineyard Pinot Noir 2007
|
|
This bright deep red Pinot Noir with purple/crimson tints has very attractive ripe fruit aromas with hints of mulberry and
bramble berry, a touch of rich fruit cake and a dusting of cinnamon spice. This is backed up by some smoky oak providing additional complexity.
The ripe up-front fruit flavours of strawberries and red currants display just a dash of more meaty flavours. This intensity of ripe fruit gives round mouthfilling flavours leading to a long gentle finish with fine, silky tannins and excellent length and
persistence. Maturation in French oak barriques is showing through with subtle spiciness and just a little extra grip on the
palate without in any way dominating the wine. The overall impression is a satisfying level of flavour with great balance
and softness.
Try it with a simple Roast Duck or a duck confit. Would also team well with the rich flavours of a cassoulet.

Pirie Estate Pinot Noir 2007
|
|
The colour density of this Pinot Noir is
medium with a bright hue. The aroma
displays cherry and chocolate with a touch
of kirsch while the oak is not apparent.
The palate is linear and tight with fine acidity.
Oak balances some sweet, dark chocolate,
plum and cherry flavours which open strongly
after a while in glass indicating good cellaring
potential: 5-8 years.

This vintage has brought out a more feminine side to the wine, with medium colour and a gentle, softly structured mouth-feel. However the aromas and flavours are serious Pinot, showing some delicate forest floor and fruits-of-the-forest notes.
Serve with a Crusty French loaf with brie or young camembert or some Lamb cous-cous
