Kayena Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2008
|
|
This sauvignon Blanc is bright, pale lemon in colour with tinges of green. It has fresh, appealing grassy and floral aromas with attractive riper notes of passionfruit, banana and other tropical fruits.
There are ripe, mouth-filling fruit flavours of lime, passionfruit and gooseberry with plenty of mid-palate weight. There is lovely zippy
acidity to provide length and freshness on the finish. The fruit weight is giving a great intensity of flavour without being over-the-top.
This is a fuller style of Sauvignon Blanc with more demanding flavours that are totally enjoyable and very easy to drink.
Perfect to serve with a wide selection of seafood.

Notley Gorge Sauvignon Blanc 2008
|
|
Bright pale lemon with green tinges, this wine has grassy/herbaceous aromas, with hints of citrus, riper gooseberry and spicy pear-juice characters. Crisp and clean, the initial impression of lemon and lime-juice which gives way to riper kiwifruit and gooseberry
on the mid-palate. The finish is crisp and refreshing with good flavour persistence.
A great aperitif it is also well suited to a variety of seafood dishes and Asian salads.

Rosevears Sauvignon Blanc 2008
|
|
A bright pale straw with slight green tinge, this is a more restrained style of Sauvignon Blanc with attractive ripe fruit characters of kiwifruit and gooseberry and just underlying
traces of some more grassy aromas.
Ripe fruit flavours with some up-front fruit sweetness give good weight to the palate. Balancing acidity gives length to the palate leading to a finish that is crisp and clean. Some short term oak maturation has given texture without being apparent on the palate.
Try it with a pan-fried garfish with a squeeze of lemon and a simple green salad or maybe an Asian style squid salad.

Bright straw in colour, the bouquet displays the mineral and lime highlights which seem consistent with the White Hills vineyard character although the palate seems more concentrated with greater palate weight than previous years.
